According to the region, the comfort of the local accommodation is variable. In the east of Nepal, the inhabitants have large houses of 2 or 3 floors, but without rooms, so you will be hosted in the large main room. In the north and west of Nepal, the houses are smaller but with rooms. In the houses in the village, there is no bathroom; the shower and toilet (WC) are on the outside. (B) A man with one other HOM

Nepal is a developing country, and the quality of the roads may be random and precarious. The roadways are heavily damaged during the monsoon rains, causing landslides or falls of stone, which entail frequent traffic congestion. The Kathmandu valley is particularly affected by the increase in road traffic. The code of the road being nonexistent and the busy traffic condition, it is strongly recommended not to self-drive.

The terrestrial movements are carried out by private transport, tourist buses, local transport, jeeps, buses, minibusses, or airplanes. The details are listed under “Cost Includes & Excludes.”

For some domestic transport, we use the airway, with the companies Yeti Airlines, Tara Airlines, Buddha Air, and Simrik Air. Generally, they work with small aircraft from 15 to 18 places.

Flights in the mountains are subject to weather conditions. It may sometimes happen that your flight gets canceled due to bad weather. In this case, the company will reschedule your flight for the next day. If there is no availability, in this case, you will be offered a route by helicopter if you want it. The difference in the cost of travel will be requested on the spot.

For your information, the European Commission has included all Nepalese companies on the black list of companies banned from flying within the European Union. To this day, no Nepalese company is not flying in Europe.

Note: Lukla Flights during high season are departing and returning to Ramechhap instead of Kathmandu due to ongoing upgrades at Kathmandu Airport. Its about a 4 hour drive to Ramechhap.

All our guides (mountains, high- altitude, and city) are accredited professionals by the Nepalese government and have completed training at the Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management (NATHM). Your guide is responsible for your safety and the safety of the group and its team. Our tours, trekking, or expedition are carried out in the group. It must be clear to everyone that the group’s interests will be prioritized over an individual’s interests. For security reasons or climate, all our guides are allowed to modify the circuit, abandon the course, or shipment without justification. In this case, it does not give rise to any compensation.

Our porters are used to trekking at medium and high altitudes and come mainly from the east and the north of Nepal. The profession of the bearer is seasonal work, and then they return home to care for their farm and work in the fields. The young students are also becoming more interested in this profession in order to be able to finance their studies. Your porters are actively involved in the success of your trip; please do not hesitate to contact them; they will be delighted to share these small moments of sharing. Sometimes the lodges or guesthouses do not have enough room for everyone. In this case, your porters will stay in a neighboring house. During the Trek Under Tent, they will be staying with the inhabitants or under a large tent of cuisine altogether.

Porters deliver your luggage during the trek, and you only carry what you need for the day (bring a small backpack of 30 to 40 liters).

For porter baggage, bring a sports bag or hiking backpack of 60 to 70 liters; avoid the suitcase with wheels, especially.

In Nepal, the weight of baggage for a trek, hike, or expedition is regulated. For the trek, you are allowed to bring a maximum of 12 kg per person and up to 18 kg per person for an expedition of 6000 m. Nepal Authentic Trek will provide one porter for two trekkers.

In Nepal, most of the circuits of trekking occur in altitude. The circuits having at least one night or more in more than 3 500 m of altitude are qualified of trekking in High Mountain. This altitude can generate the symptom of acute mountain sickness. The treatment to always apply is to descent (go back) as quickly as possible to a lower altitude.

Acute mountain sickness (AMS) is a syndrome of suffering, linked to a rise too fast in high altitude, at the absence of acclimation and to a personal sensitivity more or less important. Its symptoms are headache, nausea and vomiting, insomnia, general fatigue, tiredness, dizziness, balance disorder, dyspnoea and of the loss of appetite.

It is therefore a frequent disease affecting people in good health but exposed to an extreme environment of high altitude. Its incidence is variable, but increases very rapidly with altitude; it would be 15% to 2 000 meters of altitude and 60% to 4 000 meters.

This evil usually appears in the 4 to 12 hours following the arrival in altitude: it is regressing with the acclimation and disappears immediately to the descent.
